Hi I have sent you a portion of a map from 1899 ( to your private email) - it shows the Groves at the bottom of limes street . I don't know whether it is marked Groves because those offshoots at the bottom were....Grove's etc - I do not know. You can see the area very easily on Google Earth , just type in Lime Street, Hull - follw it to the bottom and you will see a factory build on the site of those 'Groves' - Venco Plant Services. Hull was just one of many forgotten English cities after the war.
