    3. Thanks Pam As you can tell I have problems with geography. I had a relative who had the Ship Inn at Skirbeck, the same family but not the same person also lived at Skirbeck, which I wonder if it is the same Skirbeck House as the listed property that I found (I think) the Heritage Britain site. Being picky I would say that the correct address of the Ship Inn is Skirbeck Quarter, as it's on the west side/bank of the river Witham, though back in ye older days it may have been plain Skirbeck. I've always understood Skirbeck to have been on the east side/bank of the river. Ship Inn, Long Sutton, now known as The Old Ship Inn. http://goo.gl/maps/UXe9I Ship Inn, Skirbeck (Quarter), Boston. I'm not sure if it's still open, or if it's open but with a different name as it's not in the current phone book. http://goo.gl/maps/FeSxu Boston is 16 miles NNW from Long Sutton in a straight line, or just over 18 miles by road.
