    3. Hi Bazza and 'hello' again to Lou, Aslackby is an attractive little village, and like Folkingham and Rippingale next door, has had a most interesting history. We often walk in Temple Wood - on the edge of the village, and so called because there used to be a Temple there, run for the Knights Templars and the Hospitallers. There was a Templar tax collecting point somewhere on the edge of the airfield I mentioned, and Aslackby had a castle. Have a look at: http://parishes.lincolnshire.gov.uk/AslackbyandLaughton/section.asp?catId=14296 Visit the local history page, and see the Word file of 'List of documents held'. There is often more to these little villages than meets the eye. Cheers, Rex
