Hi Jan If you are happy you have the right family and in all other records she is Agnes Caroline the most likely reason for the Agnes Catherine in 1861 is the enumerators transcript of the household schedule It seems unlikely the family entered the name wrong so handwriting is probably the cause ie the enumerator couldn't read the name easily so entered what he thought it said They didn't have time to go back and recheck every detail Have you checked there are no Agnes Catherine LYALLs births registered in 1858/1859?
