From a search of British newspapers I found these snippets:- "On Tuesday afternoon, a boy about ten years of age, named James Bentham, whose parents live at..." 11 June 1830 Stamford Mercury "The body of James Bentham, drowned in the river Welland at ..." 18 Jun 1830 Stamford Mercury   If someone has access to the Stamford Mercury, could they see if the names of the parents are given and where they lived, and where on the river Welland did James B drown.   Thank you for your help, Scott B Canada
