    3. Hi everyone I have family tree maker 2011...it took a lot of adjusting to get used to it from my old version but I like it now. I'm vexed though at trying to make a gedcom file to my data which is making me anxious about the safety of my years of work. Could I ask for help and of course, Lou, I will take help directly to my email address. Thanks Linda B.C. Canada -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Peter Atkinson Sent: February-08-14 10:09 AM To: eng-lincsgen Subject: [LIN] Family Tree software Hello List, My question is not related to Lincs, so hope any replies do not run on too long, or may be better to contact me off-line. I have been using Generations Grand Suite 8.0 to store my family history for many years under Windows XP and then Vista. I now have a new PC which has Windows 8 and it appears Gen Grand Suite is not compatible. Imported Gedcom files ok but cant now make amendments or additions. Has anyone had the opportunity to try any of the latest Family Tree software programs, and if so which ones are favoured. Any advice would be appreciated.
