Hello, Looking for information on Joseph TOMBLIN(G), born around 1803 in Gainsborough, Lincs. He married Mary Jane (or, possibly, just Jane) COOK at Holbeach in 1831. In the 1861 census, Joseph is listed as a gardener, but I have also found the probate for a Joseph Tomblin (died 11 June 1888) of Bisbrooke, Rutland,farmer. As Joseph was at Bisbrooke in the 1861 census, it may well be the same man, but I wonder if anyone knows if this can be corroborated? One of Joseph’s children was Ann (born 1833) who married Thomas GIBBS at All Saints, Holbeach in 1855. Thomas & Ann were my 2x great-grandparents & one of their children, my great-grandma Jane CHAMBERS (nee Gibbs), was one of the people who died in the cholera epidemic in Hull in September 1893.
