There are Birds in South Luffenham, but I have found a baptism for a Mary Bird in Leciester, at the Great Meeting Presbyterian church, along with those of another Mary two Williams a Sarah and a Thomas, there are no parents names given. I found Mary BREWSTER in the 1851 census, widow, with one child, Rebecca. They are living in Witham on the Hill. Mary is age 77, pauper. Rebecca, is age 36, married, born down in Deal, Kent. Rebecca dies in 1959 and is buried in Witham on the Hill at age 45. Mary's marriage was NOT in the BVRI#2. If I knew more about Mary, I might be able to find out more about John.
