My father changed his name , He was born Tom Quickfall son of Frederick Quickfall & Betsy Cheeseman . In 1925 Betsy ran away to Australia with Charles Willerton , My father and 2 of his sisters went with their mother, one sister was married the other a spinster, When the ship docked in Melbourne my father changed his name to Tom Willerton. I was born Beverley Willerton as was my brother David. We didn't find out about the name question till I was about 21 . after my father died . At about this time I was thinking of going on a working holiday to England and getting an English passport. At the time you had to have a father or grandfather who was born in England, and I thought I was fine. I had my fathers birth cert, his passport with his Quickfall name , his marriage cert with his Willerton name and his death cert .
