For those who are interested, there is a new series coming up on BBC Radio 4 called 500 Years of Friendship http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03yzn9h I came across details of it on the History Extra Podcast http://feeds.feedburner.com/HistoryExtraPodcast and during an interview with Thomas Dixon they mentioned that one aspect of the series discusses the Pals battalions of WW1, apparently they particularly focus on the Grimsby Chums, it was a brief mention but I thought some might like to bookmark the programme as it looks like it will be available on demand.
