Carol No doubt you have seen the Ancestry tree of William Tulip Wright who features in many newspaper reports on Trove. That tree suggests that Mary Wright was living in Lincoln in both 1841 & 1851, born Stamford, Lincolnshire, about 1789, working as a washerwoman, marital status widow in 1851. Her birth in Stamford would fit with Williams employment record as a gamekeeper to earl of Burghley, Marquess of Exeter etc, and later as a soldier in the south Militia. Maybe she just refused to go to Hobart, that same tree suggests that Mary died before the census of 1861. John Sent from my iPad
