Hello Terry, I'm afraid I'm the culprit as I've done all the typing for Lincoln, if not all the transcriptions! By all means tidy it up and then send it back to me and I will ask Steve to replace the current file. Lincoln is now almost finished. I'll make sure I call the parishes the same thing when I type in the rest! I do have one minor gripe though about the Lincoln (City) RD spreadsheet - specifically Column K - Parish. I often use the sort facility in Excel to sort on a particular column other than the default Groom Surname, sometimes Year or Bride Surname. When sorting on Parish this does not work too well as different data entry people have used different descriptions e.g. "Wesley Chapel, Clasketgate, Lincoln" vs. "Clasketgate Wesleyan Chapel" also some have "Lincoln St Hughes RC" and some Lincoln St Hughes Roman Catholic". Many "St xxxxx" entries have the prefix "Lincoln" whilst some do not - all this makes sorting on Parish rather difficult as you end up with two blocks of data for the same place! This non-consistency problem could easily be solved with a few search and replace iterations. I am happy to do this if you wish.
