    3. Hi Anne - do you know whether the MIs for Brigg Cemetery are readily available for a visitor from New Zealand to access. She is only in this area for another day. They were told the plot numbers A38 and A39 but could not find a headstone. Possibly never been one there but it would be nice for her to be able to check the records if possible. The family are Allbones (may be Albones) and Walter apparently went to New Zealand exporting weasels and stoats in an effort to control the rabbit population there. This was all news to me as we have recently had an exhibition at the Brigg Heritage Centre on the rabbit trade and I have never had a sniff of this type of information. Quite a fascinating lady who has come over from New Zealand to try to further her research. She is related to Walter who was from Brigg. Pat Horton Brigg Heritage Centre volunteer. ----Original message---- >From : eng-lincsgen@rootsweb.com Date : 22/05/2016 - 10:32 (GMTST) To : eng-lincsgen@rootsweb.com Cc : goons@rootsweb.com Subject : [LIN] Lincolnshire Post 1837 marriage index - updates The following have been added to the index: Lincoln Registration District (Rural parishes) All 1871-1911 unless otherwise stated: Metheringham, Navenby, Nettleham, Nocton, Normanby by Spital, North Carlton, North Hykeham, Owmby by Spital, Potterhanworth, Rand, Reepham, Riseholme, Saxby cum Owmby, Saxilby to Sep 1911 - next register missing, Scampton, Scothern and Skellingthorpe. 9,141 marriages now in this spreadsheet. 3. Silly me, you gave me the name! I found this: 93 In Loving Memory of a devoted husband, dad, and Grandad Walter Frederick Allbones 12.2.35-17.3.99 aged 64 years. We plough the fields and scatter the good seed on the land. Vase Grandad. There will be a plan of the cemetery on the CD which will show where the MI was. There are several other Allbones on the CD.
