As remarked, was she married to the man who pre-deceased her or was that another rehash of history!! A widow in 1939 and married in 1944...... what fun this family search game is. Shame her 2 daughters were abroad at the time but to be in Mexico and USA shortly after the war was pretty rare I would think. Did they marry GI’s perhaps? All we really want to know is when and where Percy Smith was born but as always, truth is often stranger than fiction. The rest of our story is that we have never found Percy’s first born daughter Mabel Colleen Smith (b 1932) and we have tried all paths.
