Hello, Phil: I don't think I have any clues for you, but maybe you have one or two for me if you have Johnson or Younger connections to Sussex. 1. My Grandmother was Charlotte JOHNSON, b.1876 to Edmund and Ellen in the Fittleworth area, near Pulborough. She and my Grandfather WILLIAMS moved from Sussex to Sturton-by-Stow, near Lincoln, where they lived for about two years before emigrating to Canada just after the turn of the century, so there is a connection with Lincolnshire. I have had difficulty finding Johnson parents or ancestors and have taken to these "shots-in-the-dark", contacting people on this list who have the same names and/or possible geographic connections. 2. The second reason for this e-mail is the YOUNGER name. Family anecdotes, completely unverified, suggest that the parents of my Grandfather, Henry WILLIAMS, b. ca. 1867, location unknown, were Stephen Williams and his wife, a Younger, but I have had no success finding them. Either they are hiding in plain sight or I am looking in all the wrong places! If there are connections, however tenuous, I would appreciate hearing from you.
