Please do not use the list to send holiday greetings to all 900 members.  I know that you are all nice people, but I will also remind you that we are not all Christians, do not all share the same national holidays, etc. etc. It used to be considered "bad form" to use e-mail in place of a written form for such wishes, but I gather that people of my grandchildren's generation can't survive without a cell phone or other electonic device in their hand.  Some old traditions should still be observed.
