Right in the middle and under the carpet that has carried many a happy Heckington bride to her destiny  is the only one of the series that is in Latin. The last time I was there, I lifted the carpet and photographed the memorial.  300 years or so of axminster and farmers clogs meant the letter had faded and the image I returned with was poor. Finally ( a year on) I managed to get the image cleaned and now it is legible, but still in Latin. Does anyone know if a transcript of that particular memorial in William English exists ?
