    3. Hi, Missing Lincs, Two questions concerning Morton by (just north of) Gainsborough: 1. Who is Major Thomas Kelsey who was lving in the parish in 1930? 2. There is a War Memorial plaque, brass, on the west wall of the church. Does anybody have a list of the names on it? I've tried online searches with no luck. Lou (list admin.)

They lived in Owston parish in Lincolnshire and had several children, the first baptised in Dec 1782 in Owston. Rachael was buried in Owston in  Jan 1803. John later married Rebecca HORNBY. I believe his first wife was Rachael HOPKINSON and they married by banns on  13 Jan 1782 at Marylebone church in London. 3. I can't answer your specific query, but Ancestry has the following dataset: *All UK, Register of Duties Paid for Apprentices' Indentures, 1710-1811* and I found a carpenter from Lincolnshire, who had an apprentice, listed in here. If you do use this dataset,be sure to look at the page after the one which displays as it has more information about the length of the apprenticeship etc. This data set is also available as a free download from the National Archives website - but they are large pdfs and I am not sure it is possible to search it on their site.
