Hi Bev, Many thanks - I had this birth, but also have this one - A registration in Leicester, Lincolnshire in the March Quarter of 1925: ERIC G. COUPLAND (mother's name RANDALL). Volume 7A Page 431 I think it is more likely that the one we are looking for is the one you detailed; our man worked on the Isle of Wight and married in Boston, Lincolnshire, in 1950. I am hesitant to give more details because of privacy issues. There is an Australian connection, and it is for this reason that I am trying to find any family of this particular man. Hi Renee, I don't know if you remember me, but I am so sorry that you have to give up what you seemed to have spent a life time doing, and on the way help so many people including myself, that is until we were forced to stop, in the name of MONEY, ( do you remember Renee ). I am still trying to find some of my Relatives, and, I suppose that I will for some time to come. Justin case you need reminding, my name is Barry Wilson, or Bazza to you and a few more friendly people like you. Good luck in the future. Hi Nivard I have been trying to find the source of the information. I download and keep emails received re family history but have been unable to find it at all. I know another descendant of that family sent me an email with that information and it checks out on FreeBMD for the birth. I'm sure I looked up the baptism somewhere but I cannot find it now. Yes, I know I should record sources and I was very lax then! The person who gave me the info. said the child was born to my ggrandmother, Charlotte nee SIZER, who married Thomas BRUMPTON in 1872. However, since then, someone suggested Charlotte may not have been the mother but Thomas was the father. It looks as if it will remain a mystery. Hi Jan It sounds as if your source has assumed Robert is the son of Thomas possibly based on finding them together in the 1891 census Without buying the birth certificate the best bet would be to try and find his baptism I suspect if you find it the father will be Charles There are two patron entries on the IGI giving Charles as the father as well although there is room for error there as we know Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) > Hi Nivard > > I have been trying to find the source of the information. Hi, I am in the process of helping a friend find the family and possible descendants of Eric Coupland who was born about 1925 in Lincolnshire. It is possible of course that he is still living, and it would be much appreciated if listers could email me privately if this is the case. Cheers, Carol
I was just going by what the Archives call the respective registers. Long Sutton and Sutton St Mary will get you the same registers, whilst Lutton will get you the Sutton St Nicholas parish registers. Sometimes they are referred to by one name, sometimes by another. Not quite Anne, I come from Long Sutton, Long Sutton is the Market town, Sutton St Mary is the area outside of the town and mainly to do with the Lovely church, Lutton is some 5 miles to the north of Long Sutton, and Sutton St Nicholas is about the same distance to the South of Long Sutton.
