HI, I am a new lister trying to break down a brickwall. I am looking for a Rowland BAMFORD/BAMFORTH/BALMFORTH I believe that he came from Slaithaite Huddersfield and that his father's name was Joseph who was a clothier whatever that is. is there an index to the 1851 census for Slaithwaite? I also believe that Joseph's wife was a Sarah SYKES, now I know what a brick wall is, looking for a SYKES around Huddersfield. Can anybody help please. Jean
