Hi, new to this list. I have been searching for my 2xggmother Eliza (Elizabeth?) for quite some time now and have tried quite a few lists in this area. Hopefully this one will turn something up. It is believed that she was born in or around SHEFFIELD abt 1819. She married a William GRAINGER around 1837 possibly in the London area. William must have died or shot through about the middle of the 1840s, as Eliza married my 2xggfather James BUTLER in 1848. Her name on their marriage certificate shows as: GRAINGER / HORRIDGE. She had two children from the previous married, Thomas and William. James, Eliza and the kids sailed for Aus in 1852 on the ship, Lord Dalhousie, James was a pensioner guard. If anyone has any info on Eliza, I would love to hear about it. kind rgds phil butler..... sunny qld.....
