Sorry to email to the list but the addie returns as user known! I am reply to JHebden's (sorry again! You didn't sign your post so I don't know your forename) post regarding the Masons of Lancs. I don't have a great deal of info on them as yet but this is some of what I do have: William MASON abt 1832 b Wigan Music Seller Ann (wife) abt 1828 b Wigan Mary Ann (dau) abt 1856 b Bury Tailoress Samuel (son) abt 1858 b Wigan Teacher of music Frederick (son) abt 1862 b Wigan Shop boy (in a music store!) Jane (my g aunt) abt 1865 b Wigan Teacher in a Day School Elizabeth (dau) Abt 1867 b Wigan Housemaid Isabella (dau) abt 1873 b Wigan Scholar All occupations were at the 1881 census date. Frederick went on to become a music store owner and teacher as well. Jane married Lacon Askew WILLISON (b abt 1869 Whitby) abt 1896 Wigan. I have a possible year for her death as 1903 but wouldn't swear to it. LMK if you find a link. Warm regards Sonja. Redcliffe, Queensland, Australia.
