Has anybody got information of the Brett family who moved from Leeds to the Stretford or Sale area in the 1880s or early 1890s? According to my Gran John D Brett (b 1855) had an organ building company but I have been unable to trace them through this time period. By 1901 his son Leonard H Brett (b1884) was an errand boy living with his widowed mother Martha E Brett (b Martha Radcliffe in Bradford, 1876), who was a charwoman in Stretford. Meanwhile her older sons Charles Edward Brett and Walter E Brett were working in the trawling fleet from Humber ports. Information from anyone with access to the Leeds, Stetford or Sale 1891 census or Trade Directories would be very helpful. Thanks Sean
