Dear Listers, I know that spamming is annoying and frustrating and that many have changed their emails to avoid it. We, on the YKS Surnames List, have changed our presentation to help protect your privacy. Unfortunately, many subscribers who have changed their email addresses have not remembered to tell me. This week alone, 10 bouncing emails were reported to me which resulted in my deleting 25 entries. One bouncing email alone was responsible for the deletion of 10 surnames. Aside from the nuisance value to me because of the extra work this creates, it is extremely uncourteous to fellow submitters. I am extremely grateful to all those submitters/researchers who have informed me of the bounces - please continue to do so. Do remember. When you wish to change your email address, you must contact me. There is no form for this or for any other changes to your entries. Please send me BOTH your OLD and your NEW emails when contacting me so that I can be certain that I have identified the correct entry. After all, there are over 20,600 surnames on the list. If bounces continue to be reported at the same rate as last week by the end of January, after February 1 I will begin posting the names and emails these belong to. I don't mind making the changes, so do contact me. If you have recently changed your email and aren't sure whether your told me, do contact me and I'll check.
