Can copies of licenses of marriage be secured from the register office? My 2nd GrGrand Uncle married subject lady, noted a widow [but no"nee"], by license in June 1824 - Item 110, Page 37 [97?] per Church of Manchester Parish Marriage Register. I would like to help my cousin [Joseph's GGGdaughter] and me by finding out the lady's maiden name. Joseph was noted as being a Sargeant in the 96th Reg. of Foot.
