Dear Listers, When you next go to the YKS Surnames List to search for contacts or to check on your own entries, you will find that it has a new face in an attempt to ensure that each submitter's information is more private. Special thanks to Colin Hinson for his software, without which none of this would be possible. Individual emails no longer appear. This is to stop others from mass reaping your emails from the list. This is not 100% foolproof, as any glutton for punishment who wishes to click individually on each entry could always find a way, but can you imagine anyone wanting to click on almost 20,500 entries, one by one! LOL To contact a submitter, all you have to do is click on "EMAIL" which appears next to each name. You will immediately get a popup form that you can use to contact that person directly. That form, and only that form, will show the recipient's email address. IMPORTANT: If you want to check your email, just click "EMAIL" as above. If you want me to change your email address, the procedure is the same as before. Send me you OLD email, together with your NEW email. That's all I need. Once is enough, even if you have many entries. I don't need the names you have submitted to change your address. Just your old AND your new address. If you don't send me BOTH, I can't identify you with any precision. (Sorry for shouting, but too many people still think I can work miracles and don't follow instructions.) I still have the master control of all your entries. Please continue to send me your changes to your email addresses, dates, places, etc. Remember, there is no form for any of these changes.
