Does anyone have information on Abel KIRBY. He married Sarah Ann WATSON in 1891. They appear on the 1891 Census as follows: 1891 Census - 4 Squire Street, Burnley - RG12/3361 Folio 139 Abel Kirby, Head, M, 33, Brush maker, Preston Sarah A Kirby, Wife, M, 28, Liverpool William Jones, Boarder, S, 27, Cotton Weaver, Preston I can't find them on the 1891 Census, or on the Canadian 1901 or 1900 U.S. I have checked FreeBMD for deaths and Ellis Island without luck. Hi Vern, Did you mean you couldn't find them in 1901. I have been unable to find Abel Kirby on the 1901 Census, but I have found a Kirby (No first name) born 1863 England, with a wife Sarah A. Kirby born 1865 England and a daughter Clara B. Kirby born 1886 England. They were living in Pennsylvania. It is probably not them because on the 1891 Census they have not got a Clara with them. I have also looked for the lodger William Jones to see if it gives any clues. I have found the following family in 1901.
