Hi Thank you to John and Christine for helping me, with a BIG thank you to John for forwarding all the family data he has collected. There is a family link, but I have yet to go through it all. However, could I please ask if anyone can find Bartholomew Frederick COTTOM/COTTAM (or whatever other spelling!) on the 1841 census. He should be approx. 20 years and maybe a carpenter. He was tried at Preston on 2.12.1841 and later sentenced to 10 years transportation so he should still be in Preston when the census was conducted.
