Hello Faye & List members, Thank you Faye for your kind offer. I would very much appreciate copies of the postcards of Preston. My Halliday ancestors hailed from Ireland but lived in Preston for a number of years from mid-1840s to 1857. The family moved within Preston and lived on Lodge Street, Hunt Street and Markland Street. My great-grandmother was born there in 1856, then the family emigrated to the U.S. several months later. The deaths of 3 children, including a set of twins, prior to the birth of my ggmother may have prompted their desire to emigrate. Thank you so much.
