Jon: This is hardly ancient history but if my memory serves me right there were some Eaves living in the Gt. Eccleston area before WW2, I don't know why but farming comes to mind. There were Eaves in the building trade in St. Annes on Sea in the 1950's and I think they are still there. Sorry but my memory is not what it used to be, I think the one that my family dealt with in St. Annes was Harry.
