Hi Jim, thank you very much. The last entry, Eric ALLSUP, is mother's cousin once removed. I stayed briefly with him and his wife in Salisbury while visiting England last year, it was the first time we had met as a result of our interest in geneology and was just marvellous. I was under the impression that his father also attended Rossall, so will have to check this out with him. The 1881 Census records three RICHARDSON boys attending Rossall School - Edward 19, William 17 and George 16. I think these are also our family regisered under their mother's name as a formal marriage did not take place. When you have time would you mind checking out any details, birth place etc, that may help me establish if their mother was Charlotte or father William Allsup/Allsop.
