Hi Michaela, The key to finding the church is in the FHL Film number. Go to the LDS Family History Library catalogue search page at http://www.familysearch.org/eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp and select Film/Fiche Search. Enter 1470818 and you will get the film contents, which includes images of registers for Preston Christ Church, Holy Trinity and St. Thomas. Your source is for marriages between 1897-1900, which matches items 1-4 on this film. These are for Christ Church. You can see details of the film by clicking on the " View Film Notes" button in the top right corner of the frame. It gives you this information: "1470818 Title Parish registers, 1857-1900 Authors Church of England. Christ Church (Preston, Lancashire) (Main Author) Note Location Film Baptisms 1857-1900 Marriages 1864-1897 FHL BRITISH Film 1470817 Items 16-20 Marriages 1897-1900 Particulars of deceased persons interred in the burial ground 1831-1896 Register of services 1880-1890 Register of official parochial register 1894-1900 FHL BRITISH Film 1470818 Items 1-4" Also note the Lancashire Records Office file number PR 2952/1/1-3, 8-9, on the Title Details page, which could be useful if you have the opportunity at some point to visit the Office. Hi All, Thanks to Brian, it now seems possible that some of my PARKINSONs may have attended Christ Church in Preston. He identified the following: "1470818 Title Parish registers, 1857-1900 Authors Church of England. Christ Church (Preston, Lancashire) (Main Author) Marriages 1897-1900 Particulars of deceased persons interred in the burial ground 1831-1896 Register of services 1880-1890 Register of official parochial register 1894-1900 FHL BRITISH Film 1470818 Items 1-4" Lancashire Records Office file number PR 2952/1/1-3, 8-9, I am interested in the following marriage: PARKINSON, Thomas Age: 22 Wife: Elizabeth Isabella HOGGARTH Age: 25 Marriage Date: 1 Nov 1899 Recorded in: Preston, Lancashire, England Husband's Father: Zacharias PARKINSON Wife's Father: John HOGGARTH Source: FHL Film 1470818 Dates: 1897 - 1900 And I would also like to identify where my PARKINSON ancestors in this area were buried eg. Zacharias PARKINSON died on 17 Dec 1884 at Fulwood Hall, Fulwood. I wonder if he may be buried at Christ Church also. Does anyone have access to the parish records or the MIs to check? Also, how do I find out which areas MIs have been done for as I also have Margaret HOGGARTH who died in Liverpool (probably Everton) on 23 June 1887 that I do not know where she was buried. St Lukes is a church which has come up on some marriage records and is a possibility. Thanks Michaela Morgan Hobart, Tasmania, AUSTRALIA
