Greetings to you all from a new subscriber. I am researching my Grand father Henry James Robert WALLER born probably 29th June 1901 as taken from his gravestone. I say probably because his marriage certificate dated 11th September 1919 says age 21 but I doubt I am the first person to be hit by the "of full age" problem, or just plain old lies. His father is listed on the Certificate as Henry Lewis WALLER a Picture Frame Maker. I have ordered a birth certificate for a Henry James Robert WALLER born in Hackney, London in the September quarter 1901, but the father does not tie up with Henry Lewis WALLER. The only other alternative is a Henry WALLER Born in Preston and registered in the June Quarter of 1901. I know it sounds strange but I cannot get any accurate information from living relatives as to if my Grandfather was born in Preston or in London ( I had always thought he came from the "East End").
