Joyce: Don't believe everything that you see on the 1881 Census. My Grandmother's name was "Priscilla" - I have copies of her birth certificate, marriage certificate, death certificate and burial registration, my mother was named after her as she died as a result of the birth. In the 1881 Census she is listed as "IOUEN" - you can see this listed her surname was EASTHAM. A further error is that the father is shown as living at 11 Ripon Street, Preston (which was the correct address) but the rest of the family are shown as 7 Ripon St. Dennis [email protected] wrote: > Subject: > > ENG-LANCS-PRESTON-D Digest Volume 01 : Issue 30 > > Today's Topics: > #1 Re: Nellie [Violets <[email protected]>] > > Administrivia: > To unsubscribe from ENG-LANCS-PRESTON-D, send a message to > > [email protected] > > that contains in the body of the message the command > > unsubscribe > > and no other text.
