I'm sure this is a daft question, but I have just moved to Preston from the Midlands so you'll have to excuse a dumb Brummie. I've just discovered that the County Record Office in Preston doesn't have the GRO index's (which was a bit of a surprise). Where do I go to look at them? Pat.
