Is there anyone on the List researching the name Mainwaring and possibly recognises the following : Agnes Mainwaring married Richard Edward Whitfield in 1924 in Preston. Richard Edward Whitfield was my late Father's step brother and I have only recently discovered him, he was born 1901 in Sculcoates, Yorkshire to a Richard Whitfield and a Martha Whitfield (nee Chapman). By the time of the marriage his Mother had died and his father had married an Ann(ie) Moss at St Ignatius Church, Preston in 1922. Agnes Mainwaring's parents were Henry and Lily Mainwaring (nee Brooks). In 1926 Richard and Agnes were living at 61 Frank Street, Preston when their son Kenneth Richard died aged 5 months. In 1931 Richard and Agnes were living at 72 Havelock Street, Preston when Richard died aged 29 years. Between the years of their marriage in 1924 and Richard's untimely death in 1931 I feel there must have been more children and I would love to find them. Regards, Pauline Thomas (nee Whitfield)
