Amongst my deceased father's papers, I found burial documents for Alfred & Alice HESMONDHALGH, & James JOHNSON - 1905, 1907, & 1912 I also have a marriage certificate for William HARPER & Alice JOHNSON 1859. As far as I know, these people are not related to me. They are going free to the right homes! My "adopted" aunt, Beth Hesmondhalgh, who was a suffragette, lived with my grandmother, Eleanor Beatrice Higginson, in Ashton - that is the only link that I know. Joan ( from France )
