    3. Hello Listers, I have an elderly aunt in Preston who went to Bow Lane Record Office to try & trace Henry SMITH, Mary SMITH (wife), Joseph ( or Joseph Bellas ) SMITH, (son), & any other siblings, in the 1841 & 1851 census. My aunt was a bit confused & has sent me a reference 1851 - F - H0107 - 2267. Is anyone able to make sense of this for me????? Henry SMITH was a spinner, or cotton spinner, & the family were described as "of Ribbleton Lane", at Joseph's baptism in 1837. In anticipation! Joan ( from France )

    3. Hi Joan, HO 107/ 2267 is one of the Piece No's. on the 1851 Census. I have just looked how many folio numbers there are in HO 107/ 2267 for Smith and there are 107. You need to know the folio number to find them, this appears on every other page, or it will mean looking at all the 107 entries.
