Dear Listers, This is my first try on this mailing list. I have just found out that I have an ancestor who was tried at Lancaster Castle county court in 1821 and transported to Australia for seven years. John Cunningham was only about eighteen and was tried for Larceny. Where would the court records be kept and how does one go about reading them? This is the first time a convict has been found on the family tree and I haven't the first idea on how to research him. Help please. Jeannette from NZ
