Sylvia: I do not have an old street atlas of Preston but I have a fairly recent one and there is no Butcher's Court shown. There is a Butcher Brow but it is on the outskirts, south of town at Walton-le-dale so it is most unlikely that that is the place. Are you sure of the name, there is a Butler's Court in a well established part of town, almost in the centre but no Park Road nearby, as a matter of fact it is a cul-de-sac off Fishergate about 100 yards east of the railway station. There is a Butler Street on the east side of the station and a Botler Place just over a mile due north, close to a park but no Park Road in the area. Sorry to be so unhelpful. Dennis
