Hi Sylvia, Butchers Court has long since gone, around the mid 1950s, to make way for a new ring road through Preston. Going North up London Road you arrive at a big junction where Church Street crosses to Ribbleton Lane where Preston Prison is on the corner of Stanley Street. As you cross this junction there is a road bears left which is called Guys Row, Park Road. Park Road then bears right onto North Road at the Crest Hotel junction near the Preston Bus Station. An old directory, 1953, states that Butchers Court came in at 115 Park Road. Guys Row is still shown. Hope this helps and if you want a small map of this by email, just ask and I'll send.
