I am a very ordinary and new member of the Society of Australian Genealogists which I joined largely to acess their records for English and American family research and the bonus of Ancestry Plus access on their computers. I idly played with their CD which lists all convict shipping records but know that they have copies on fiche of shipping records, local censuses BMD registrations etc. Australian records are not my own interest but if you email your basic, and precisely phrased request to their HQ here in Sydney; info@sag.org.au you will be steered on from there, you may be lucky and get a 'look up' but bear in mind this is also the body which represents professional genealogists as well as amateur enthusiasts.
