Searching any information on Henry SMITH, born Preston, possibly 1802 - 1803, Cotton Spinner, father of Joseph SMITH, born Preston 1837 - 1838. Joseph SMITH married Hannah LEEMING in 1860 & I'm trying to find his birth & mother's name. I have found a Henry SMITH, Cotton Spinner, aged 58, in 1861, living at his brother's house, (John SMITH ) with wife Beth or Betsy, aged 44 , born Lytham. ................................ STRANGE thing is they have three children aged 7, 4 & 1, & the youngest two were born AUSTRALIA...................confirmed on 1871 census !!!!
