Hello all I'm trying to research my family name of Dwyer. On the 1901 census I have my Great Great Grandparents William and Bridget Dwyer living at 5 Hemfield Road in Ince. Previous to this I have them on the 1891 census at the same address. I'm struggling to try and trace them any further back - I know they were both born in Ireland between 1864-1868 but I don't know where - family lore has said it's possibly Rathangan in Kildare but other folks have said they were from Wexford... Is there anyone out there who might know anything about them - I know they had 5 children all born in Wigan - Bridget born in 1886 (she married into the Marshall family), Margaret born in 1887 (she married into the Caffery family in Ince), William born in 1892 (he was my Great Grandfather and married Sarah Jane Gillespie in 1912), Catherine born in 1894 (she married into the Fisher family) and finally Owen born in 1899 (never married and lived with his mother Bridget until she died in 1936).
