Hello, I have a Siddal/ Sidall from Forfarshire county in the Highlands in Scotland. Could never trace them to their original place. Is this an English name, or a name from Scotland? Mennie Siddal married Donald Stewart. Her father, James was a Tax Collector in Kirriemuir, Scotland. She was born 1750 sand died 1848 in Scotland. Lived to a good old age considering the time period! Any help appreciated, thanks.
