Hi I need a lesson in removal orders. Im looking at 2 items of interest to me on National Archives "FILE - Wigan to Orrell. Order of removal of Roger Horrocks, Alice his wife and Matthew, Alice, Mary, Ann and Peggy their children - ref. QSP/2117/64 - date: 1780 26 Jun" FILE - Wigan to Ince in Makerfield. Order of removal of John Horrocks, Mary his wife and Mary their daughter - ref. QSP/2707/93 - date: 1816 17 Sep Does this mean that one or more of the people mentioned were born in the places they were being removed to? (Im starting to try and build a picture of my Horrocks and I think John mentioned in 1816 is the son of young Matthew mentioned 1780 - to further complicate matters i believ alice was the 2nd wife of Roger Horrocks- they were married March 1780 in Wigan. Any comments welcome. carol
