All I can suggest is James was with one of the sisters who had married and was entered on the married name? Maybe Elizabeth married? Hello Carol Thank you for your speedy reply and the research you have done. In 1841 Elizabeth and her son were living with Elizabeth's widowed Mother, Mary/Molly Sharples in John Street, Wigan. As attached The Sharples Family which contains Zephaniah Sharples, who moved to Staffordshire is a separate but parallel Sharples Family - I have not managed to link them together yet! I am also looking for William Foster born in 1875 in Wigan Lancashire (Parents William & Elizabeth Foster) on the 1891 Census. Do you happen to have this and his family?
