Hi Beth Thank you for replying I haven't done as well as you I have only got back to John Finch- about 1807 Wigan he is my the 2nd great grandfather This is my brick wall he married Jane Baldwin oct 1831 according to the 1841 census he lived Buckley House Queen's ward & in 1851 Buckley House Starr INN ropemaker & Publican. his second marriage to Susannah Blackledge nee BAXENDALE gives his father as John a rope maker not been able to find his Christening so I am stuck on his mother's name .
