Hello Listers, Can anyone help me find Minnie McGuire? On the 1901 census she was aged 7 years Her family lived at Ince Wigan.. Ihave checked for a marriage under the name spelt McGuire, Maguire, and even McQuire which was the spelling on the census. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Nancye, Have you tried the spelling MacGuire? I have found some of my McGuire family listed under that spelling. They say William Shakespeare's name was spelled 54 different ways over the course of his lifetime in various records! Are any of my McGuire family related to you? I am seeking Philip McGuire (born somewhere 1800-1820 I am guessing), his wife Hannah Mills McGuire (born about 1810-1820), and their children Ellen (born 1852) and Terence (born 1856) McGuire (maybe others I don't know of). Philip and Hannah's children were born in Salford. The family later moved to Wigan. Terence married Catherine Wilson in Wigan, and they had 4 McGuire children: Hannah (born 1878), Ellen (1880), Margaret (1882) and Julia (1884)(maybe others I don't know of as well). Hannah was buried in a pauper's grave at Wigan cemetery. I have not found Philip's nor Terence's deaths/ burial places. Catherine died in 1886 in Wigan. Any connections?
