    3. Peter, Thanks for your reply. I have been using the LAN-OPC site for quite some time but I have been going to the parish list by using the Search option from the home page. When you do this and select Ashton and Makerfield, christenings start from 1765 for some reason. I see that doing it your way produces a lot of results that I have been missing so thanks for the suggestion. Usually it just means they search facility has not yet been updated. I'll send a Message to Paul Dixon who looks after that side of things. One thing to remember about LAN-OPC is that we are all volunteers and most have "day jobs" - we try to keep up to date, but........ Regards Peter Wood
